6) Safe and Supportive Learning Environment

• JEE is a national level engineering entrance exam consisting of two stages – JEE Main & JEE Advanced.
• JEE Main scores are considered for admission into NIT’s, IIIT’s and C(G)FTI’s.

• Every year, the IITs conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced) to select candidates for the 4-year B.Tech, B.Arch, 5-year Integrated M.Sc. and M.Tech courses.
• Only around Top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) based on performance in JEE (Mains) will qualify to appear in the JEE (Advanced) examination, which will rank candidates for admissions to IITs, provided the candidates have 75% aggregate in their respective subjects and in class XII examination.

Pattern of the IIT JEE Main and Advanced

JEE Main is an entry-level national examination conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E./B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). It also serves as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the IITs.

JEE Main comprises two separate papers:

• Paper 1 is for B.E./B.Tech.
• Paper 2A and 2B are for B.Arch. and B.Planning respectively.

JEE Advanced is the second stage for IIT aspirants. It consists of two compulsory papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2), each of three hours duration. Both papers have three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam is designed to assess a candidate’s conceptual understanding, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
